OrganicLea are running a seed saving workshop as part of their open day on Sunday 24th November at their beautiful co-operative growing site Hawkwood, on the edge of Epping Forest in Chingford.
Monthly Open Day: Sunday 24 November from 12-4pm
The focus of this month’s skill share is THE WISDOM AND PRACTICE OF SAVING SEEDS including an introduction to the heritage varieties that they save and grow each year at Hawkwood. The workshop is at 2pm and there will be practice across the day. There will also be:
*Seasonal horticultural activity – a chance to share knowledge as we work together – all day.
*Guided site tour
*Forest School activity for Children: Guided session 12 – 1 pm & woodland free play 2 -3 pm
*Lunch from 1-2pm: Soup-up with local produce (donations welcome)
*Close 4pm
Drop in at any time and stay for the day.
