Happy New Year to you all!
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our Spring series of re-skilling workshops to support you in your seed growing and saving activities this year. Learning the skills to enable us to save our own seed confidently and creatively is a key part of the London Freedom Seed Bank’s vision.
The workshops will cover how to chose which species to save from, how many plants to grow, how to prevent cross-pollination (and why you would chose to do so!), selecting, harvesting and finally saving the seed.
The sessions are free. We invite you to come and learn and in return commit to putting your learning into practice and later in the year return some 0f your seed harvest to the London Freedom Seed Bank. In this way the seed bank, and the network of seed savers, will grow, diversify and able to offer more free healthy seed to more new growers and savers.
You are welcome to come along to just one or several of the sessions to develop your knowledge as your crops are growing. Learn from experts and share your experiences with other growers and savers!
